It was what we call "Golden Week" from 29APR to 6MAY this year. The period changes due to calendar every year, but most office workers and students are off from their duty for more or less one week. 29APRIL is our ex emepror's birthday, 3MAY is Constitution Day, 4MAY is GreenDay and 5MAY is Children's Day. And in between there are weekends in most cases. It was not a big holiday this year due to the calendar, but still many Japanese went for a domestic/overseas trips in this holiday week. Masaki and I just stay home in general holidays so we enjoyed quiet Tokyo : ) back home |
