My English teacher in Sapporo visited Tokyo this weekend. He was teaching English at my high school until he retiered 16 years ago at age 60. We were always in good relationship (mostly because I was such a good student!!) and since he started a pc email several years ago, we have been exchanging mails from time to time. One day, he told me he was planning a "last trip to Tokyo before leaving this world", so I should make time to meet him for a while : ) I never fail to meet him when I go back home in Sapporo, but we actually couldn't meet for this past coulple of years because I didn't visit Sappor last year, and he took an operation and was hospitalized when I was there the year before. So I was happy to make time for him this time. His plan was staying only for weekends(two nights three days) because his daugter was coming with him and she had to go back to work on Monday morning. He said he had two other people to meet in Tokyo, so my "alotted time" was from 10:00am to 2:30pm following his tight schedule. (I was very happy I was one of the people he wanted to meet in tokyo!) I invited him to my apartment and enjoyed some morning teatime, and after while, we drove back to his Hotel doing some sightseeing from the car window. back home |
