I visited Nezu shrine in my neighborhood, and there I happened to see a 7-5-3(Shichi-go-san) girl in a lovely kimono. In Japan, 753 is a traditional annual event on Nov.15th. Parents celebrate when their son become 5 years old, and when their daughter become 3 and 7 years old. They usually visit shrines together and pray the children's health, and take a memorial picture afterwards. back home |
