July 6th is my birthday every year! Please send me a kind word when you happen to see this page! : ) In my new neighbourhood, there is a very famous event which called Asagao Festival on 6,7, and 8th of July every year. Asagao means Morning glorly in Japanese, meaning "morning face". I have known the event only by name but had never visited before. But actually it is one of the very famous events in Tokyo that has history of 60 years. More than 100 asagaon venders open their little shop on a street for three days. This picture above is only the beggening of the venders' street. From here to the end of this block, you can only see pots of beautiful morning glorlies, and people. It was so crowded and narrow once you step inside, that I could not stop to take pictures. (But took a short video for bb users. please go back to the top page and check "videos") |
